Amazing Animations: Hey Arnold, S4 Episode 71. Veterans Day

Hi Guys! Me Anna here, Today I will be talking about the Hit TV Nickelodeon show aka Hey Arnold! I really loved that show even though that it's way pasted my time. But anyways let's began.  WARING SPOILERS!

So Hey Arnold, Was one of those shows that you never knew about what would happen next. So I started watching some of the old episodes and I came open one of the episodes called "Veterans Day" This episode we get a look on some of Grandpa's Phil History at the war and we are told that Gerald's Father Martin was apart of the Vietnamese War.

This episode begins with  Arnold and Gerald coming out of school trying to figure out what to do on Veterans Day weekend, Then we get a time skipped to where the whole boarding house dinner where Grandpa Phil wants to talk about his WW2 story, No one wants to hear about it and makes up excuses not to hear it. Phil is very annoyed by this and the fact that Oscar eat his pudding.

Then We are brought to the next day, Martin and Phil are discussing about what to do. The pair agrees on taking Arnold and Gerald to Washington DC to celebrate to Veterans Day. The next scene opens up with Arnold and Phil getting ready, Phil is overly excited since he will finally be able to tell his war story with no one leaving.

Arnold tells Phil not to fake his story since he always does that and Arnold doesn't want to be embarrassed. Phil is shocked to learn that his friends and family think he is far fetching the truth.

So I wasn't really into the 90s scene but after  watching this on YouTube Episode, I have to say Nick took some big risks with this episode.

  • First of all, Phil mentions Hitler. Yeah WW2 Hitler, And he is actully in this episode! I'm not even kidding, Phil "beats" up Hitler. Also I think this episode wasn't even banned anywhere
  • Also Phil does mention a certain french lady, But Martin stops him because Phil does go all the way with the lady. I'm not kidding with any of this!
  • And This Episode has some violence in it, Fighting and Guns
But this episode left me laughing, happy, and left no words to me since I was shocked it wasn't banned. So I would say people need to watch it over and over again.
